About Us

Our Volunteers

WE CAN NOT TO IT ON OUR OWN... Our awesome Volunteers actively supporting and participating in our program efforts, individuals and organizations can contribute to ensuring that Pacific Islander youth in Utah are well-rooted in their heritage and continue to celebrate and perpetuate their vibrant cultures.

Our history

Growing Polynesian and Hawaiian populations in Utah and the importance of cultural preservation Utah has experienced a significant increase in its Polynesian and Hawaiian population over the past decades. In fact, Utah's Pacific Islander population, including Polynesians and Hawaiians, is the third-largest in the nation by percentage, according to the 2020 US Census. This growth highlights the increasing presence and influence of these communities within the state.

This growing population emphasizes the need to actively continue teaching and preserving Polynesian and Hawaiian cultures for the youth in Utah. Cultural traditions, language, dances, music, and food are vital in connecting young people to their heritage and fostering a strong sense of identity. Maintaining these connections helps bridge generations and ensures the continuation of unique cultural practices and knowledge.

Our mission

The Aloha In Utah Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Pacific Islands. Utah has the third-highest population of Pacific Islander residents among all U.S. We make up roughly 1.8% of Utah's total population. Based in Utah, our mission is to educate and empower the next generation of Pacific Islanders by fostering pride in arts, sports & health, their identity, celebrating our rich traditions, and building a strong, connected community rooted in the spirit of Aloha.
